Beaches: Mostly Not Public
The Incline Village General Improvement District, which runs the beaches, says they are for IVGID Picture Pass and Recreation Punch Card holders with beach access, and their guests. Guests pay $18 for adults 18 and over and $10 for ages 6 to 17; ages 0 to 5 are free; gate hours are dawn to dusk. The four beaches are Burnt Cedar, Incline, Ski and Hermit. Dogs are allowed only at Ski Beach, west of the boat ramp, after the beaches close for the season, roughly October 15 to April 15, with an owner who has beach access.
Public lake access nearby: Sand Harbor and Spooner Lake. Ski in winter at Diamond Peak, above town.
History
Wikipedia says the town was established in 1882, takes its name from the incline railway of the Sierra Nevada Wood and Lumber Company that supplied timber to the Comstock mines, and had 9,462 residents in 2020. That is secondary; the District’s own history page was not read.
