Paved Trails

  • Tahoe East Shore TrailNevada State Parks describes a 3-mile paved trail system connecting Incline Village south to Sand Harbor. Bike-in entry at Sand Harbor is $2.
  • Truckee River Trail and West Shore networkThe Tahoe City Public Utility District lists a 23-mile network, Class 1 and 2 e-bikes permitted, a 15 mph speed limit, bikes yielding to pedestrians and snow removal starting at 3 inches.
  • Truckee River Legacy TrailThe Town of Truckee says the trail will connect Donner Memorial State Park to Glenshire when complete. Phases 1, 2, 3A, 3B, 4A and part of 5 are done; length not printed.

Mountain Biking

  • Marlette Flume TrailNevada State Parks lists a 4.4-mile trail at Spooner Lake, with Spooner day use at $10 per vehicle ($15 non-Nevada) and $2 bike-in. The trail association lists several Spooner Backcountry trails closed during weekday construction hours in 2026, with no dates.
  • Donner Lake Rim TrailThe Land Trust says it is multi-use, bikes yield to hikers and equestrians, and bikes are not allowed on the Pacific Crest Trail.
  • Washoe Lake State ParkMountain biking on non-motorized trails, per Nevada State Parks. See Washoe Lake.

Tahoe Rim Trail Rules

The trail association says bikes are prohibited in Desolation, Granite Chief and Mount Rose wildernesses, on the roughly 50-mile section shared with the Pacific Crest Trail, and on several named hiker-only trails. E-bikes are prohibited on nearly all of the trail, with about 6 miles in the Spooner Backcountry the exception. Between Tahoe Meadows and Tunnel Creek Road the managers ask bikers to ride only on even-numbered calendar days; that is a request, not a rule.
