Winter Sports History
Wikipedia reports that around 1928 D.L. Bliss built a toboggan slide here for Tahoe Tavern guests, that a ski jump was built on Olympic Hill and the US ski championships were held here in February 1932, and that a rope tow after World War II is called the first lift in the Tahoe Basin. All of this is secondary and we have not seen it on the resort’s page.
